Bold Smart Cylinder
What if my phone is empty or lost?
We’ve got your back. Easily enter your home without a smartphone by using your personal PIN. Enter your 5-digit code by turning the outside knob and you're in. Lost your phone? No worries. Just log in to another phone and block the Bold account of the lost device.
What if my smart lock battery is empty?
Your Bold Smart Lock has over 2 years’ - or 20.000 activations - battery life. That’s because you open the door manually. You’ll get notified in advance if your battery is almost empty. This way you have more than enough time to replace your battery. Missed out on all these notifications? That’s ok. It will automatically go into the battery saver mode. This way your battery will last a few weeks longer. So, an empty battery is mission impossible.
How safe is it to have a smart lock?
Be Bold. And trust the safest lock. Bold Smart Lock works with anti-core pull protection, anti-drill barrier and multi-point lock. Our smart lock is SKG*** certified. Three stars from SKG means that our product is rated with the highest safety score possible. That makes the Bold Smart Lock highly burglar-resistant. Even when they’re using extra good tools. So, think keyless. And keep your beloved ones safe.
How does Bold deal with digital security?
Don't worry ‘bout a thing. We’ve built different features in the Bold Smart Lock system to ensure your digital security. Messages between your Bold products and the Bold server are end-to-end encrypted. Each Bold product has its own unique code – that cannot be copied. This way, your certified products can only communicate with each other and our secure server.
How can I share access with others?
That’s easy with the Bold App. Select the smart lock you want to share access to, click on the figures and then +, choose who gets access and your contact will automatically receive an invitation via SMS.
How do I manage my events?
That’s simple. Go to the Bold App and click on 'Settings' at the specific smart lock. At 'Activation log' you’ll see all the events of the lock at a glance.
Why should I replace my good old lock?
For many reasons. Wow. Where to start... With Bold Smart Lock you’ll be sure you’ll get the safest lock. The smart lock works with anti-core pull protection, anti-drill impediment and multi-point lock. In addition, Bold Smart Lock keeps track of events. So, you know who's been in and who’s been out, from wherever you are. And let's face it: wouldn't it be nice to never forget, lose or hand over your keys ever again? And you (almost) always have your phone with you. Life's too short to worry about everything to do with keys.
Does my Bold Smart Lock also work with my anti-core pulling cylinder or a multi-point lock?
Hell yeah. The Bold Smart Lock is designed with versatility in mind. Core pull protection and multi-point locks are definitely part of this. If you combine your smart lock with your core pull protection it’ll still fit perfectly on your door. And you’ll lock the door yourself, therefore a multi-point lock is no problem at all. Simply turn your Bold Smart Lock until your door is completely locked.
Do I have to pull out my phone from my pocket every time I open my door?
You don’t have to, if you don’t feel like it. Easily turn on the auto-activation feature in the Bold App. The Bold Smart Lock recognizes you and activates itself when you’re arriving home. To make sure this doesn't happen constantly when you're moving around your house, there's a 200-meter safety zone around your smart lock. That means, if you are within this zone: your Bold Smart Lock will never activate automatically.
Can I install the Bold Smart Lock all by myself?
Yes. You. Can. You’ll fix the installation of your Bold Smart Lock in no time. You’ll only need a screwdriver. With the manual you can easily replace your current cylinder. Step by step in just a few minutes.
Does the smart lock fit on my door?
Most likely. The Bold Smart Lock is suitable for almost all the Euro profile doors. There are 8 different sizes available and which one you need, depends on your door. Match your measurements and choose the size that makes your door Bold-proof. Check it out in just a few easy steps. You’ll only need the inner and outer measurements of your old lock.
Am I dependent on wifi?
No, you’re good. The Bold Smart lock doesn't use WiFi. Bluetooth does all the work for you.
Will my door lock automatically?
Nope. You should always lock the door yourself. It’s to ensure that the Bold fits on every door - so also with multi-point locks - and to give you an extra safe feeling. Once you have turned the smart lock, it will deactivate itself and the knob on the outside will 'twist'.
Can I place the smart lock fully outdoors, such as the garden door or gate?
The inner knob (big knob) doesn’t like to withstand different weather types. Because that’s where the electronics are located. So, please place the Bold Smart Lock with the big knob indoors. The small knob can be placed outdoors!
Bold Connect
Do I need the Connect to use the Bold Smart Lock?
Nope. It’s just an awesome addition to your smart lock. The Bold Connect adds extra options that make your life even simpler.
What on earth is a Bold Connect?
The Bold Connect is a addition to your Bold Smart Cylinder. With the Bold Connect you can expand all the basic features of your smart lock with 'Remote Activation'. For example: you can activate the lock on your door remotely from wherever you are.
Remote Activation, say what now?
Nice question. With 'Remote Activation' you’ll easily activate the Bold Smart Lock when you are not around. This way you can share access to the property you’ve secured, from wherever you are.
How does it work on my garage and electric gate or door?
Add the Bold Connect with two cables on your garage, electric gate or door. From now on, you’ll use the Connect - along with the Bold Smart Lock and the Bold App - to enter the door via your phone, share temporary access or set up auto-activation. What is the maximum distance between the Bold Smart Cylinder and the Connect?
The Bold Connect must be placed in Bluetooth distance from the Bold Smart Cylinder. That is about 2 to 3 meters. The Bold Smart Cylinder and the Connect work together via Bluetooth. That way you are secure for sure with the safest lock.
Bold Clicker
How many smart locks can I connect to one Clicker?
Connect up to 50 smart locks to just one Bold Clicker. But – in order to do that – you’ll need to have access of course. Share it with whoever you trust. That makes the Bold Clicker convenient to use for both private and business purposes.
What is the maximum distance between the smart lock and the Bold Clicker?
To activate your Bold Smart Cylinder with the Bold Clicker, you must be within Bluetooth range. This is about 2 to 3 meters.
What if I lose my Bold Clicker?
No worries. Your Bold Clicker is linked to your personal account. Just open the Bold App and block the lost Clicker. You’re in control. Anytime, anywhere.
Can I use the Clicker without the app?
Absolutely. Install the Bold Clicker with the Bold App. And you’re ready to share the Clicker with someone without a smartphone.

We offer free shipping for the following countries: The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Austria.
For orders from other countries a shipping fee of €8.95 is charged. It is automatically applied at checkout.
Where is my order?
On its way to you. After you’ve finished your order, you’ll receive an email to confirm. After your order has been shipped, you’ll receive an email with Track & Trace. This way you’ll stay updated about the shipment. Anytime, anywhere.
Where can I find my order status?
That’s easy. Just sign in to your account and you’ll find your order status.
How can I return?

How long do I have to wait for my refund?
It won’t take long. After we’ve received your return, we aim to refund your order within 14 working days.
Are there any costs for returns?
No! We believe in our products. So, if you're not happy, we aren't either. That's why we always give you the option to return for free, from wherever you are in the world. Do you have a strong preference to return with a specific courrier? That's also fine, but there might be some additional costs.
Bold for Business
How do I know it works for my business?
Are you done with loose keys or entrance cards? Then we're the right fit. With Bold you control your lock(s) via your Bold app or the Bold Business Portal. It's up to you. Everyone that needs to have access (employees - trainers - suppliers - cleaners) can create an account and you as an admin decide in which time slots and periods the person has access. End of employment? You simply revoke access and it's done immediately. No more handovers.
Can I get a stack discount?
We’re happy to hear you're interested in multiple locks. On our webshop you can get multiple locks with a bundle discount (2 with 5% off; 3 to 9 with 10% off; 10 or more with 15% off).
How do I know which size I need?
It depends on your door of course. Take your cylinder(s) out your door, measure the inside & outside size and match it in the table on the product page. Need help? Please contact us .

Yes you can. The installation of the lock is easy and can be done within 5 minutes. You can read more about it here.

Do I need the portal to use a Bold Cylinder?
No you do not need the Bold Business Portal to start using the Bold Smart Cylinder in your business. Everything can be controlled from the Bold App as well. However, we do think the Bold Business Portal is a great addition to manage multiple locks or user groups. Why not make your life even easier.
