How to: Install your Bold Outside Knob

As a proud owner of a Bold Smart Cylinder, now you get the chance to customise it and instantly upgrade your door. Whether you've chosen a black, brass or copper Bold Outside Knob, your smart lock will surely turn into an eye-catcher.

Before we start, make sure that your current outside knob has indents. If it doesn't, then you are using a first generation lock that is incompatible with these outer knobs. Please contact support to arrange an upgrade of your Bold Smart Cylinder at support@boldsmartlock.com.

If everything is okay and your current outside knob has indents, please follow the steps below. You'll be done in no time.

Step 1: Take out the thin silver Allen Key from the packaging.

Step 2: Insert the Allen Key's short side into the screw hole and turn anticlockwise to firmly detach the old Outside Knob from your door.

Step 3: Carefully remove your desired Coloured Outside Knob from the packaging and find the screw hole as mentioned in Step 2.

Step 4: Place the Outside Knob onto the part from where you removed the previous Outside Knob from. Ensure that the screw hole is aligned.

Step 5: Repeat Step 3 with the opposite rotation (turn the Allen Key clockwise) to firmly attach your new Coloured Outside Knob to your door.

Step 6: Super, everything is set - your door looks more glamourous than ever!
